A Fresh Start: My First Blog Post
Introduction:
Hello everyone! I'm absolutely thrilled to be writing my very first blog post. This is a new venture for me, as I've always wanted to connect with people and share my experiences. Although I've had a desire to use videos to showcase my work, I've never actually done so (except for IG stories). That's why I believe writing feels more natural to me at the moment. Who knows? Perhaps in the future, I'll also venture into creating videos. Given that my work spans across different areas of media and communication, this feels like the perfect time to embark on this blogging journey. I'm currently on a delightful vacation in Italy, enjoying quality time with my family. This peaceful and creative atmosphere is an ideal backdrop for my first post.
A Year of Bold Decisions:
It's hard to believe that almost a year has passed since I made the life-changing decision to become fully self-employed, focusing solely on music. The journey has been amazing so far. While I can't say everything is going perfectly (otherwise, I wouldn't need to write this blog post, right?), I'm grateful for the progress I've made. One of the highlights during this period was the release of my band Shape Of Water's second album, "Amor Fati." I take great pride in having composed, produced, recorded, mixed, and performed this album alongside my talented friend Luca.
A World of Creativity:
Over the past ten months, I've delved into a world of boundless creativity. I bid farewell to my draining 9-to-5 job (thank goodness!), embarked on an incredible project in Istanbul called the Morpheus Project by Mustafa Khetty, and had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional musicians like Alex Hutchings and Anton Davidyants. I've been fortunate enough to perform in numerous gigs, compose over 90 minutes of music for a podcast, and offer my mixing and mastering skills to various artists. This whirlwind of activity has deepened my understanding of the music business, giving me the confidence to share advice with others.
What's on the Horizon:
So, what does the future hold in this exciting journey? Firstly, Shape Of Water is officially diving into new music. Although we're still in the early stages, we're already discussing plans, and the excitement is building. Additionally, the album I worked on in Istanbul will be released on August 16th, and I can hardly contain my anticipation. Keep an eye out for the new single titled "Steal For What?," which will be released in just two days. Moreover, I'm thrilled to share that the podcast, a unique composition separate from my band's work, is scheduled for release this autumn. I'll keep you updated on that front as well. Lastly, I have a few surprises up my sleeve, and I promise to share more details in upcoming posts.
Conclusion:
This introductory post has given you a glimpse into my multifaceted musical journey. As we continue to connect through this blog, I'll delve deeper into the ongoing projects that occupy my creative spirit. Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and I look forward to sharing more stories and insights with you soon. Stay tuned!
P.S. I almost forgot to mention an important milestone in my life! Just recently, on the 9th of July, I celebrated my 8th anniversary of moving to Manchester. It was a decision that has brought me immense happiness, and I couldn't be more grateful for taking that leap.
